〜5 Benefits You Can Get from Eating Eggs Daily〜
Hi, it’s Mac here!
Over the past few years, I’ve been trying to get more protein for my health.
I used to drink protein shakes, but lately I’ve switched to getting my protein from three eggs a day.
The other day, I came across a video explaining the health benefits of eggs, and it turned out to be way more impressive than I expected. So I figured—this is worth sharing. That’s why I put this article together.
Here are some of the amazing benefits of eating eggs 📝
1. Supports Eye Health
Eggs contain vitamins A, B, E, and beta-carotene, all essential for maintaining healthy vision.
Some studies even suggest they may reduce the risk of age-related macular degeneration by 30–40%.
If you pair eggs with vitamin C–rich veggies, the benefits can be even greater.
2. Keeps Your Blood Vessels Young
Eggs have strong antioxidants that help prevent oxidative damage in blood vessels.
Selenium is especially abundant—you get more than half your daily requirement from just three eggs.
Eggs also contain choline, which may help widen blood vessels and support healthy blood pressure.
3. Improves Skin and Hair Condition
Biotin, found in eggs, helps maintain healthy skin, hair, and nails.
Two eggs provide most of the biotin you need in a day.
Raw egg whites can interfere with biotin absorption (because of avidin),
so for beauty benefits, cooked eggs are better (onsen tamago is the best!).
4. Boosts Brain Function
Egg yolks contain phosphatidylcholine, an important energy source for the brain.
Some studies suggest that people who eat eggs regularly may reduce their risk of dementia by up to 28%.
Eggs are excellent fuel for keeping your brain sharp.
5. Helps Maintain Muscle and Strength
One egg contains about 6.2g of protein with a great amino acid balance.
Three eggs give you around 20g of protein, supporting muscle maintenance.
It’s an ideal daily food for preserving muscle as you age.
Tips for Eating Three Eggs a Day
- Cooked eggs are better for nutrient absorption (onsen tamago is best!)
- Combine eggs with vegetables since they don’t contain vitamin C
- Eggs are inexpensive and easy to make part of a daily routine
Final Thoughts
People used to say eating too many eggs wasn’t healthy, right?
But recently on TV, I heard someone say, “Up to four eggs a day is totally fine!”
So now I eat them without worrying 😂
I’ll also be posting an article soon about why protein is so important, so stay tuned! 💪
