Hi, it’s Mac here.
Today I want to share one of my recent favorite kitchen items: a wood-handle silicone soup spoon, about 18cm long.
Ever since I started using this spoon, I can’t imagine my kitchen without it!

A Versatile Spoon from MUJI
This spoon has a natural, wood-like handle that gives a warm, cozy feel. The tip is made of silicone, which is heat-resistant, so it’s perfectly safe to use for cooking.
The size—about 18cm—is just right: not too big, not too small. MUJI also has a standard “silicone cooking spoon,” but it’s quite large and not really suitable for directly eating from. 😂
This spoon, however, can be used for cooking and then straight to the table. For someone like me who’s a bit lazy in the kitchen, it’s absolutely perfect!
My Thoughts After Using It
What I love about it:
- Won’t scratch pots or pans
- Heat-resistant, so perfect for piping-hot soup or curry
- Soft silicone tip lets you scrape the bottom and sides of pots clean (like a spatula)
- Stylish design looks great on the table
What I really like is that it lets me cook and eat with the same spoon, reducing dishes and making serving a breeze. It gets used every single day!
A Tiny Drawback
Since the silicone is soft, it bends when trying to scoop super hard, frozen ice cream.
But once the ice cream softens a bit, it works perfectly. In fact, the softness makes it easier on the mouth. This is just the nature of the material, so it’s totally understandable.
Summary
The combination of a wooden handle and silicone tip makes this spoon both beautiful and practical.
Being able to cook with it and then serve with the same spoon makes it a dream for lazy cooks like me 😂
Honestly, I’d say this one spoon is all you need.
If you’re looking for a stylish yet practical spoon, I wholeheartedly recommend this one 🥄
