Hi, I’m Mac!
Thanks for finding your way to my blog.
A few years ago, I spent time living in Australia on a working holiday.
With nothing but a single suitcase, I realized how comfortable life could be.
It hit me that you really don’t need much to live well.
Surrounded by nature and moving at a slower pace, my lifestyle naturally became simpler.
Back then, my belongings were just clothes, a laptop, a phone, a wallet, some stationery, and a notebook.
If I needed something, I’d just pick it up locally.
Living in a share house made that more than enough.
That’s when I fell in love with the minimalist way of living.
Funny enough, I had originally applied for a working holiday in the UK but didn’t make the lottery.
So I chose Australia instead—still an English-speaking country—because I wanted to improve my English, live abroad, and try a completely different job from what I was doing at the time.
When I first arrived, I was shocked by the high prices—
and just as shocked by how high the wages were.
Now, Australia is one of my favorite countries in the world.
“Mac” is a nickname my friends gave me back in my school days, and it’s stuck ever since.
The name Minimal Mac Moves comes from me—not my MacBook!
What I’ll Be Writing About
Minimalism, for me, isn’t just about cutting costs or getting rid of stuff.
It’s about freeing up time and money so I can spend them on the people, things, and experiences that truly matter to me.
I want to travel in my favorite clothes, eat lots of amazing food, and enjoy the kind of rich experiences that things alone can’t give.
By keeping my room and my bag light, I hope my heart will feel lighter and freer to move, too.
Here, I’ll be sharing tips for simple living, stories from my travels, and of course, plenty about food.
Welcome to Minimal Mac Moves—and thanks for stopping by!
